Community Mental Health Research Report 
In Topic 6, you will be comparing the use of research and program evaluation in counseling. Furthermore, you will conduct a needs assessment, describe recommendations to fit the needs of the community, and research interventions before evaluating their effectiveness.
Select a local program in your community that provides counseling services (examples: community mental health agency program, school counseling program, support group program).
Imagine that you have been asked by the program you chose to conduct a needs assessment to identify any gaps in services and recommendations for services to fit the needs of the community.
You will be using the GCU library to identify three peer-reviewed articles that collected samples of data from community mental health or school-based programs like the one you have selected. Using these resources, create a report that can be used to carry out a needs assessment improving the services in your community. Report templates can be found online, within Microsoft Word, or through other word processing software.
Within the content of the report address the following with support from your selected three peer-reviewed articles:

Describe how you would conduct a needs assessment to improve the services in your community.
Explain your processes of selecting a quantitative or qualitative measurement tool and why this specific tool was selected.
Explain how the tool you selected provides useful findings for this program. Integrate findings from previous research studies to discuss likely outcomes for your program’s needs assessment.
Explain how your dependent and independent variables in your study might change your expectations of participant experiences with interventions while collecting data.
Describe the properties of validity and reliability for the instrument you have selected. Was the research conducted based on quantitative or qualitative measures?
Include three peer-reviewed articles in the reference section of your research report.
