Aims
The purpose of this assessment is to evaluate your understanding of core ideas, concepts
and discussions in the field of IHRM, as discussed on the module. This means you must
evidence your knowledge of ideas, concepts and debates in core and supplementary
readings discussed on the module in lectures and workshops, augmented with your own
thoughts and arguments. In particular, you should evidence learning against module
outcomes through drawing on module core and supplementary reading.
Task
You are being asked to write an essay drawing upon 6 core readings, and more if you want
and additional supplementary readings if necessary, using Harvard referencing.
Instructions
You need to write an essay on what you see as the one or two most pressing ideas on IHRM
from the list below, all covered on the module. You should explain how these issues as
discussed on the module challenge conventional wisdom in IHRM practice and theories.
You need to frame your one or two chosen topics through the current thinking on context
(weeks one to four). You should identify how HRM professionals may have respond
practically to them. Choose from the following:
