The first step in this project is to decide what new product your group will create. Each group member should submit his or her own ideas, but the target market should be chosen by consensus. Your team needs to choose a name for the product, create a brand, and justify both of them by explaining their relationship to the target market’s values, lifestyles, and attitudes. An explanation of how these concepts were brought into the decision should be included in the final submission.
In addition to selecting the target market, brand name, and image, the group should make recommendations for the brand’s packaging and advertising campaign.
The packaging decision can be made using ideas from the earlier packaging assignment but with the group’s consensus and refinements.
Individual Portion
For the individual portion of the Group Project, you will prepare a presentation of 10–12 PowerPoint slides (body of presentation) with in-depth speaker notes to develop an advertising campaign for the product. The campaign will be broken down into 2 parts: The explanation and justification for the advertising campaign and the ad itself.
