You are requested to prepare the chapter on “Discussion and data analysis” so as to get feedback from your tutor. You can read the following instructions and watch the video linked to the question before submitting the assignment that will help you improve your work.
After the data analysis comes the discussion of the results/findings. This section has five purposes, it should:
.         Introduction (topic, short methodology -tools, participants, research method-data analysis process)
·         Interpret and explain your results
·         Answer your research question (research questions and what are the most important findings per research questions)
·         Justify your approach (use literature review and discuss your results)
·         Critically evaluate your study (gaps, limitations, recommendations)
The discussion section therefore needs to review your findings in the context of the literature and the existing knowledge about the subject. You also need to demonstrate that you understand the limitations of your research and the implications of your findings for policy and practice. This section should be written in the present tense.
In this part you should also mention any gaps or weaknesses in the area of your research, provide supporting evidence based on the work of other authors and give new and innovative ideas for improvement. Its important to state the impact of your research. You can present your data and discuss the findings with graphs and/or tables so as to illustrate your points.
Kindly note that during the writing of your dissertation its preferable to provide books or journal articles from valid sources and were published in the last five years.
