ter Reading and watching the videos in the Reframing online content, please complete the following assignment.All of us have at least one stressful situation that can narrow our focus of the bigger picture in our life.  The secret is to reframe the situation from a threatening perception to a nonthreatening perception.  This assignment encourages you to take one of your stressful situations and to work on reframing it using the tools and thought pattern ideas you’ve learned this week.  For instance, someone who loses their job, may initially think that it’s the worst thing that ever happened to them… but later once they often find a better job or better situation, they say that losing their job was the best thing that ever happened to them because they would have never tried something new and therefore would not have ended up in a better situation.  That is how the “bigger picture” often works.Follow the directions below for the stressful situation you choose and then complete an essay assignment based on the reframing concepts.  For the essay it should be:  a typed 2-3 page Word or PDF document (do not use Apple “Pages” please)… (1.5 spaced) that addresses the following information:ASSIGNMENT – ESSAY CONCEPTS- write about these in your essay (but do not use bullet point or numbered responses… use the essay formatting information below to correctly lay out your essay):

Describe the situation in your life that is stressful, and explain why it is so stressful to you.  
What is the current Perspective and the associated thoughts that you are encountering in that situation.  Describe any negative or toxic thoughts that you think about.
What tools or ideas in the weekly online content or book do you feel you could use to help reframe this situation
Describe a Reframed Perspective on the situation.  For example, think about how would another person deal with your situation to overcome it or look at the positive side of things… and use that to trigger idea of how you could reframe your situation.
Discuss a plan of action as to how you can practice this reframed perspective and what you can specifically do to modify your thought processes to be more positive.
