that has been adopted, relating your case study to your learning from the wider

evaluate one or more aspects of the intervention, relating your case study to
your learning from the wider evaluation literature. You should: specify the

evaluator in this case; and provide an approach that might be adopted,
assessing its strengths and weaknesses.

 Summary of the policy or programme: does the student provide a clear but
succinct summary of the policy or programme being evaluated in a way which
makes clear the context for the evaluation?
 Analysis of purpose of the evaluation: for option 1, does the student clearly
identify what the aims of the evaluation were; or for option 2, does the student
clearly articulate aims for their evaluation?
 Analysis of the evaluation challenges: does the student show an appreciation of
the major challenges which face their kind of evaluation?
 Option 1: Is there a clear analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the
evaluation?
 Option 2: Is there a clear design or approach set out, and a critical reflection on its
strengths and weaknesses or limitations?
