Compare the contribution to the understanding of tourist consumer behaviour of the following: one academic journal (choose from Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Vacation Marketing, Current Issues in Tourism, International Journal of Tourism Research, Tourism Management) during the period July 2017 – June 2018; one quality newspaper (choose from The Times, The Financial Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Economist or the English language edition of a quality paper from outside the UK) during the period July 2017 – June 2018; one other non-academic source (travel books or books of another genre; poetry or rap or music or visual arts; any media other than newspapers; or any other source agreed in advance with the module leader).

Note: The other non-academic sources are not confined to publication between July 2017 and June 2018 although they must be related to those time periods by you.

In preparing your evaluation you will need to:
Read through numerous relevant editions of your chosen academic journal (in the library JHBB or online if available)
Read through numerous relevant editions of your chosen quality newspaper (in the library JHBB or online if available)
‘Read’ through your chosen non-academic source
Develop an overview of the contribution (or lack of contribution) made by your chosen academic journal to the understanding of tourist consumer behaviour during the period July 2017 – June 2018.
Develop an overview of the contribution (or lack of contribution) made by your chosen quality newspaper to the understanding of tourist consumer behaviour during the period July 2017 – June 2018.
Develop an overview of the contribution (or lack of contribution) made by your other chosen non-academic source to the understanding of tourist consumer behaviour during the period July 2017 – June 2018.
